Dr. Amy Schmisseur is an Assistant Professor at Belmont University. She has won top teaching awards at the University of Texas at Austin and repeatedly earned top honors for academic honors for writing from the National Communication Association. She holds a PhD in communication from UT Austin, an MA, and a BA with honors from Ohio University. Her dissertation was titled Beyond the client service interaction: The emotional labor of change implementers.

Dr. Brian Richardson is a Professor of Organizational Communication at the University of North Texas. Internationally recognized as an expert in the field of organizational whistleblowing and crisis communication, he is widely published and teaches courses in conflict management, crisis communication, organizational communication, and consulting. Brian holds a PhD in communication from the University of Texas at Austin and an MA in human resources from Louisiana Tech.

Dr. Darrin Griffin is an Associate Professor at the University of Alabama. An expert on communication and group performance, with an emphasis on non-verbal communication, he has authored several books and scholarly articles in the field of communication. Darrin holds a PhD in communication from SUNY Buffalo and an MA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Jen Morgan is the Department Head and Associate Professor at Southeastern Louisiana University. She specializes in teaching courses on negotiations and leadership development. Jen holds a PhD in management from Louisiana State University. Her dissertation was titled Reevaluating the “magic spell:” Examining empowerment, stress, and workplace outcomes.

Robert Isbell is the Fire Chief of the Stephenville, Texas Fire Department and an Adjunct Instructor in business administration at Midland College. He is also a certified mediator for civil and family legal disputes, as well as the founder of the Permian Basin Firemen’s Fund, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting fire service in the region. Robert holds an MS in executive leadership and BS in public administration.

Dr. Sean Lux is a clinical professor in the Department of Management at Texas Tech University. He serves as an entrepreneurial advisor for start-ups, a business advisor for established for-profit organizations, and is actively involved in entrepreneurial and managerial research and writing. Sean holds a PhD in management from Florida State University and an MBA from the University of South Florida. His dissertation was titled Nonmarket effects on strategic fit and performance: An economic institutional change perspective.
