Based on popular demand from TFCA members, the TFCA and On-Demand Leadership are proud to announce a new two-day boot camp designed to increase your competitiveness for promotion to chief-level positions like battalion chief, assistant chief, and fire chief.

This two-day workshop provides the tools, strategies, and practice you need to immediately increase your competitiveness as a chief-level candidate (i.e. from Battalion Chief to Fire Chief). The boot camp is taught by Fire Chief Robert Isbell and Dr. Geoffrey Tumlin, and includes input from chiefs, city leaders, and job recruiters across the state.

About the Instructors:

Fire Chief Robert Isbell, currently chief of Round Rock, Texas, has also been fire chief in Southlake, Euless, and Midland. He has decades of experience on both sides of the hiring process—as a candidate and as the hiring/promotion agent—in hundreds of fire service job searches.

Dr. Geoffrey Tumlin advises fire chiefs, senior leaders, and job candidates throughout the US on promotion and hiring. He taught Job Interviewing at the University of Texas, and served as the chief personnel officer of an army infantry battalion.
